Spring 2009 Death Camp
Training Overview
Each day will consist of a 1 hour swim, 4-5 hour bike ride through the NC mountains, and a 6 mile run. Cycling routes will vary each day.
What Will I learn?
Death Camp offers the perfect opportunity for you to enhance both your running and biking endurance while learning optimal fueling & recovery strategies. The weekend also provides an opportunity to learn better pacing techniques for long rides and runs as well as enhancing your bike handling skills (both climbing and descending). To help improve your overall swim fitness and technique, a swim coach will be on the pool deck and in the water to demonstrate and coach stroke efficiency. You will be surrounded by other experienced athletes and will have guidance from coaches with over 40 Ironmans and countless other races between them.
